The ASGRA or Atlantic States Gay Rodeo Association's "Atlantic Stampede Rodeo" makes for a terrific outing. This annual event is held in October at the Montgomery County Agricultural Center, Gaithersburg, Maryland. You would find this quite a different affair from the rodeos you may be more familiar with. Every effort is made to ensure the safety of both the participants and the animals. The events are more laid back than the sometimes overly rough standard rodeos. The rodeo is a two day event. It was cloudy on Saturday, and it rained Sunday. I didn't get photos of all the events this year so I have substituted a few from previous events.

During the Grand Entry, around mid-day, both the American and Canadian National Anthems are sung to the parade of the flags.
