| Wild Drag Race
This is one of the funniest events to watch in Gay Rodeo. This event consists of teams of three people: one male, one female and one person in drag (women's clothing). The steer begins in the chute with a halter and a rope. The cowgirl holds the end of the rope from behind the 10 foot line. | |
| The cowboy and the person in drag are positioned behind a line 40 feet from the chute. When the chute opens, the cowgirl attempts to hold the steer while the cowboy puts the person in drag on the steer's back. |

| The mounted steer must then cross the finish line 70 feet across the arena. If the steer crosses the finish line without the person in drag on it's back, the team must get the steer back over the finish line and try again. |
