Merry Christmas From Tom and Frank
1999
First things first... We now have our own domain, (Internet name)
The web address is www.nps-vip.net
and E-mail is frank@nps-vip.net or tom@nps-vip.net.
The old addresses will cease to work sometime early next year, so please change your address books now.

Our year has been busy again. Frank spent much of the spring and summer working with Manassas on a major remodeling of the lobby and museum. Another major project which he finished up in the early spring was to get the park's primary ranger tour, Henry Hill, recorded and available on the Internet. (Available later on this disk) Sadly, however, Frank decided to leave Manassas after 6 years and over 8,000 hours of service. This January he will start looking for a new place to volunteer at.

Thankfully, we have both been well. Aging is such a wondeful process. Frank is now almost 48 and Tom is 57. Do we look it? Well, yes........we probably do. Such is life. We are contantly aware that we are mentally about twenty years younger than our chronilogical age. What more is there to say? We wish we could increase the metabolic rate and drop the poundage, but again, what is there to do? Yogurt and prunes can only go so far!!!

Tom is still at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) with over fifteen years of service there. SAIC has grown over the years to approximately 38,000 people with annual sales near $5 billion. Tom is principally working of studies for the Department of Defense. Gee, guess this shouldn't surprise us much.

We did a lot of camping this year in Luray at the Country Waye. This year, for the first time, we left the trailer in the campground the entire year. That sure made camping easier. All we had to do is take a minor amount of clothing and food, and we were off camping. We have made no firm decisions yet, but maybe it is time in the next year or two to retire the trailer and truck and get new replacements. We will have to see.

We hope you all have spent a joyous year celebrating the Spirit of Life. Enjoy daily the emotion of truly living. Once again as Buckminster Fuller said, "Life is a verb, not a noun." Rise above the mundane, see through daily problems, and be the potential you were meant to be. And most importantly to all..we give you big, wonderful hugs!!!

We wish you all the best and hope the next year will be filled with happiness and properity. After all, how many times do we live through a millenium change? Since we know of no one over 100 years old, most of us will be able to say only one. I saw a stack of wood for sale the other day with a sign on it saying, "Y2K compatible." And I guess it is.

This holiday project has been fun, somewhat difficult, and much bigger than we had intended. We hope you enjoy the CD and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a great New Year.

  Now for the neat stuff
