A few more images of the Chicago rodeo which didn't fit on the previous page. In the yellow shirt is our friend Bren from Nebraska. A terrific friend and a terrific horse person. Well, at least the dragon fly liked the mud. While we didn't get a photo, one experienced horse rider who was a pickup man for the stock contractor fell off his horse directly into the only mud puddle in that part of the arena. He was more than embarrassed. In the last shot you can see how dangerous this sport can be. This fellow got caught in his bull rope and couldn't get loose. The animal drug him across the arena, through the mud and nearly hit the fence. He was helped by the bull fighter who got him loose a few seconds later. Luckily he only had a few sore muscles and nothing broken.

The Washington DC rodeo, Atlantic Stampede 2007. At the host hotel, a block from the US Capital, we have country western dancing Friday and Saturday nights. Around midnight Friday night, the DC Cowboys put on an excellent dance show, and then the next day we were off to our rodeo. Pictured here are Frank, Frank and Tom, Bev and Frank, Bev and Mike, and Terry (red shirt) and Bren (yellow shirt) on horseback competing. The major problem we had was the hot weather (over 100 degrees), no rain, and lotsa dust. While eating a BBQ sandwich, as a dust cloud came over, Tom asked "if dust counts as fiber". Yes, it was that bad. Ron, the camera man inside the area, is a friend and an excellent photographer. The photo of the horseman in the red shirt coming directly at the camera is Charlie. One of the pictures is of Tom talking in the stands to our friends Deb and her husband Bill. Lastly, you can see the hand washing station Frank built 2 years ago for the rodeo. Notice on the last photo how the hand washing station disassembles and fits into the back of a pickup truck to take to storage.

Scott, and his son Dan, our friends from Maine came for a brief visit. Frank took them to Skyline Drive in the mountains west of here for a day. Scott was actually born there. Dan was more than amazed that he could get internet connectivity from the back of Frank's pickup..thanks to our cellular modem...a great device. Internet from wherever you have cell service. Watch our website for live webcam images from our truck as we travel.

A final trip back to Denver in October for the IGRA finals rodeo. Finals is usually indoors, and they have a great facility. In the photo of Frank and his red shirt, and the following photo, you can also see two of our friends, Jim a distinguished cook, and Dave, a distinguished author. The next photo is Harley and his partner Chris. After the rodeo, we took one last trip into the mountains with Jim and Dave. In the last photo you can see some snow capped mountain west of Denver.

This group of characters are members of our Rodeo Association. All unique personalities in their own right...so collectively they are hilarious to be around. And they are: Mike, our President, Lonnie, who has held practically all offices, and Mike our Trustee.

In early November we had another visit to the farm for a Fall Party. Fall was late this year and the trees were just at their peak. At this point, Terry had a few more horses as he is breaking a couple for sale. Frank is now going to the farm just about every week to ride.

We close this CD with pictures from the last trip me took this year, to IGRA Convention in Kansas City, MO. While Frank was webcasting the board meeting, Tom drove across the river to Leavenworth where he attended school while in the Army. Pictured here is the duplex he lived in for a year back then. Also pictured are some photos from Fort Leavenworth's tribute to the black members of the Army, once known as the Buffalo Soldiers. You can also see a picture of the Federal Pen where famous convicts have been kept. And no, that is not where Tom went for the year. During Convention Frank assisted Shane, from Calgary, Canada, in running the audio portion of Convention. Shane managed the big mixer board while Frank handled the webcast computers. And finally we close with Miss Lonni, effervescence and dynamite packed into a small frame, as she prepares to judge a dance contest. Oh by the way, in addition to her other talents, she sings wonderfully in both French and English.
