Mama's Calf Catch This event was crafted locally in an effort to expand the offering of so called camp events. Up to eight two-person teams congregate at a start-finish line at one end of the arena where they are given a poker chip with a number written on it. A group of calves with identically numbered poker chips tied around their necks are released into the opposite end of the arena. A judge whistles the start of the event. Team members then scramble to find the calf in the arena with a numbered chip matching theirs.
