The ASGRA or Atlantic States Gay Rodeo Association's "Atlantic Stampede Rodeo" makes for a terrific outing. This annual event is held in October at the Montgomery County Agricultural Center, Gaithersburg, Maryland. You would find this quite a different affair from the rodeos you may be more familiar with. Every effort is made to ensure the safety of both the participants and the animals. The events are more laid back than the sometimes overly rough standard rodeos. In addition, all profits from these gay rodeos go to charitable functions. Some sites you can visit are ASGRA (Atlantic States Gay Rodeo Association) or IGRA (International Gay Rodeo Association).
