Edison National Historic Site

During the Valentines Day weekend we took 3 days and drove up to West Orange, New Jersey to visit Edison's home and workshop.
The park's Visitor Center.
One of the original generators constructed by the Edison company to supply power for his electric lights.
Frank stands in front of the Black Maria, Edison's motion picture studio. The building's roof opens and the building is on a turntable so it can be turned to catch the sun.
Here we see the time clock which Edison himself used each day he worked ... right along with all his employes.
Edison's desk, just as he left it.
A view of the machine shop. Edison said he could produce anything in his shop.
Two views of the chemistry laboratory.
A display of Edison phonographs. We were treated to an actual cylinder record played on an original Edison machine.
Edison's home. The inside was beautiful, but flash photos were not allowed and none of my non-flash pictures came out.
