In August we started out on a three month RV trip in our 5th wheel trailer. We locked up the house, turned on the security system and headed east. These photos are shot in Springfield, IL where we visited Lincoln's tomb. In one campground we met some other camping friends.

Frank wanted to show off some of his phones so we attended an antique telephone show in Cincinnatti, OH.

Travelling further east we camped in Winchester, VA. Frank was getting worried that some of the trailer tires were getting too thin, so we had them replaced while parked in the campground. You can see one of the tires was already breaking up.

After the new tires we moved the trailer to Bull Run Regional Park near Manassas and camped there for a week. We were just 11 miles from our old home in Clifton. Here are photos of our friend Ron walking his dogs, and shots of the farm at Chigger Hill where our friends Bob, Terry and Chuck live. They have really expanded the farm since we left.

After moving to Colorado, Tom regretted never having visited the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum at Dulles airport. So on returning to Northern, VA we did just that. If you ever get the chance, please visit this museum; it is wonderful.

Another place that Tom had always wanted to visit was the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH near where Pat, Tom's sister lives. It too was a fun place to visit.

On another day while visiting Pat, we went to President McKinley's burial site and museum. The museum was an excellent find. The last photo is of Pat and Tom at a meal Pat had prepared. Delicious.

After leaving Pat's area we drove 20 miles south into Amish country where we attended our second annual Ameri-Camp RV rally. These photos are in an Amish museum.

We visited a working Amish farm, and saw how simplistic their lives are. But they are very hard workers. And great bakers too.

One day on the RV rally, we visited a glass museum. There had been a glass factory in this town many years ago which produced much carnival glass. Some of the glass is very valuable.

On one evening we toured a knife factory and had a great dinner in their museum. An absolutely fun evening. It is marvelous what one person can do, if they set their mind to their chosen purpose.

Here we are continuing our tour of an Amish store located in an old mill. Then we moved along to a modern Amish wagon and equipment manufacturer. It is amazing to see the high quality of the work they produce. Their plows, harrows, discs, wagons, and farm equipment of all sorts and styles is amazing.

We spent our last night together with a rally cookout. Hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans and desserts, followed by the last campfire of the rally.

Next we started heading back home and stopped in Oklahoma City, OK to have our trailer repaired at the best RV trailer repair place in the USA. Motley's RV Repair. Great people...great repairs. But expensive for their quality workmanship.

While the repairs were being done to our trailer, we visted an AT&T museum in downtown Oklahoma City, OK.

Back to watching some of the trailer repairs being done. Motley has basically rebuilt the entire trailer, which says something was not right in the manufacturing process of the trailer.

After leaving Oklahoma City, we headed south to Fort Worth, TX where we attended IGRA Finals Rodeo. Finals is the culmination of the entire rodeo season. Only the Best of the Best get to compete. IGRA has approximately 4,500 members nationwide and in Canada. Frank was selected to be one of their two Grand Marshalls this year. It is a great honor and I am very proud of him being Grand Marshall. Here you see him receiving his sash and his buckle.

At Finals we picked up our good friend from Virginia, Ron, who had flown into Ft. Worth to attend the rodeo, and he travelled with us in our trailer for the four days to get home. He was excited about the trailer trip. Then we toured some areas near our home. Ron stayed with us a week and then flew back home to Virginia.

In November we drove to Las Vegas, NV to attend the IGRA Convention. Frank worked the video feed for the entire Convention. Then on Sunday evening we attended the First Annual Paladin Award dinner. The first Annual Award went to the Autry National Center in Los Angeles, CA.

These are photos of Frank and Tom walking around Las Vegas before heading home. It was a nice year for us, and hope yours was equally nice. Again Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years.
