Prior to the Denver rodeo, Frank flew ahead and stayed with our friends Dave and Jim in their South Park home, located in the Colorado Rockies at 10,000 feet. These pictures are of Dave, a noted author of at least five major books. The "white stuff" is hail from a spring storm which left a foot deep build-up in areas of the valley. The last picture is the bedroom with a great view that Frank...and later Frank and Tom stayed in....after Tom caught up with Frank for the rodeo.

This is a historical museum of the "Ole' West" in Fairplay, Colorado. Great stuff. Caring folks maintaining it too.

Various pictures of our combined trip throughout Colorado. We have spent weeks touring this State..and still come back to the mountains. Many year ago naturalist John Muir was right.....he said...."Come, come.....back to the mountains, and there you will reclaim your soul".

These are pictures of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison...a place where we actually tented...many years ago. Also a photo of a camera shop having the exact camera as one that Frank's Father and Grandfather used.

The first two shots are of award winning Interstate 70 just west of Denver. The designers and engineers sculpted their way through the mountains. Next shot is of a rabbit eating the luxurious grass outside our hotel room near the Denver airport...and finally the sunset as we once again leave the Rocky Mountains.
